Sor, Fernando - Estudio No. 5, 6

A nice simple piece with the rare distinction of being the first that Julian Bream learned on his first classical guitar. And presumably one of the last he has been able to continue to play with his worsening arthritis.

It's a gentle piece, and one that follows a repeating pattern. Unfortunately, my brain does poorly with this sort of thing and I have a really tough time keeping the repeated sections distinct.

It is one of the easiest pieces I have ever attempted, but I find it almost impossible to remember for more than a few minutes. I am tied to the tablature and it doesn't seem to commit to memory.

A lovely, emotional interpretation by Eric Henderson.

An excellent rendition by John Williams.

Number 6 is really nice as well! A lesson by Roland Dyens (French)
